Hi, I’m Elise. Marketing Director by day, and the person behind @eventsforlocals by night.

I started this page because I was tired of seeing the same tourist clichés and recycled must-do lists about Amsterdam. Once you hit your 30s, your time and energy feel more valuable. You want plans that are actually worth leaving the house for.

So I began sharing the places I would genuinely recommend to my friends: new openings, hidden gems, thoughtful pop-ups, and under-hyped restaurants and bars.

Instead of overwhelming you with endless lists, I curate simple weekly and monthly selections so you can spend less time scrolling and more time enjoying your city.
